This Dachshund is made from a long style apple gourd with another gourd added for a head. Pieces attached for ears, tail and legs. Is 12.25" long, 7" tall and 5" wide.

Mallard Gourd Flying

9.5" tall, 13" long from beak to tail and 9.5" deep.

Found a small bottle gourd that looked like a bird so I added pieces for wings and a tail and when mounted on a piece of white birch it looks like a mallard flying.

Gourd Dragon

8" tall, 19" long and 9.75" deep.

This gourd dragon was made with lots of construction. A maranka body and the neck taken apart and reattached for a different shape. Wings cut from gourd pieces. Legs from gourds and quikwood. Quikwood used for scales and fire.

Gourd Dinosaur

Look Out! The archaeologists have discovered that not all dinosaurs are extinct. This new find has been named a "Gourdosaurous" and has caused a great stir among scientists.

Made with a maranka gourd, the head is made with a small gourd, attached and smoothed with wood putty for a seamless flow into the neck.

Stands 10" tall at it's head and is 15" front to back. This gourd is protected with 3 coats of gloss sealer.

Gourd Beagle

Stands 11" tall and is about 7" wide at the widest part.

This gourd is actually two gourds put together to create the shape of the dog and painted in acrylics, protected with 3 coats of gloss sealer.

The head and body flow together seamlessly as well as the attached ears that are made of gourd pieces.

Catnip Cat

The cat stands 13" tall, and is 8" wide.

I call this gourd cat my "Catnip Cat" because it looks like it is time for planting catnip. He is heading out to the garden with a pack of catnip seeds and a trowel.

On this gourd I have added ears, paws, nose and tail with gourd pieces and clay. The tail also has some texture paint for definition. The whole gourd is then painted in acrylics with 3 coats of sealer for protection.
