Gourd Beagle
Stands 11" tall and is about 7½" wide at the widest part.
This gourd is actually two gourds put together to create the shape of the dog and painted in acrylics, protected with 3 coats of gloss sealer.
The head and body flow together seamlessly as well as the attached ears that are made of gourd pieces.

Catnip Cat
The cat stands 13" tall, and is 8" wide.
I call this gourd cat my "Catnip Cat" because it looks like it is time for planting catnip. He is heading out to the garden with a pack of catnip seeds and a trowel.
On this gourd I have added ears, paws, nose and tail with gourd pieces and clay. The tail also has some texture paint for definition. The whole gourd is then painted in acrylics with 3 coats of sealer for protection.

Made with a maranka gourd, the head is made with a small gourd, attached and smoothed with wood putty for a seamless flow into the neck.
Stands 10" tall at it's head and is 15" front to back. This gourd is protected with 3 coats of gloss sealer.
